LEAP™ is...

In 2010 we conducted a survey of our LEAP™ graduates. We decided it was time to find out what 'stuck' from their LEAP™ year. When asked what they found to be the most lasting or impactful 'leadership lesson' was for them. The five are:

  • Managing-up; learning how to better manage 'up' and meet or negotiate expectations with my boss
  • Learning how to flex my leadership style based on situations.
  • Negotiating win/win for successful outcomes - Stop selling and start listening
  • Leadership happens every day. Being a leader has more to do with my behavior than a title. I think in 'leadership terms' before reacting to a situation.
  • Time management and Delegation are tools I am still using today.

We've always said; "it takes 30 days to make something a habit BUT it takes a year to make it a lifestyle." The LEAP year will not only transform your managers into leaders but the results pay dividends for years.
